摘要

The process of detecting the potential collision between aircraft in the airspace is an essential subject to solve the problem of aircrafts separation in the airspace. Various methods with certain engineering priorities can be utilized to develop certain useful systems. Preventing collisions in the airspace is an important key to ensure an aircraft's safety during their flight. One of the important problems in air traffic management (ATM) systems is how to discover the airspace congestion associated with limitation of airspace capacity that determines the number of aircraft and their directions, as well as positions in their sectors space. These limitations are varying during the time due to some constraints (weather information, delay, airport workload, airspace structure, air traffic system, and tolerance limitations). In this study, an online (tactical phase) pre-congestion analysis problem is proposed to solve the online phases in the short term problem of congestion. This paper aims to suggest a roadmap for modeling the ATM. Congestions can be estimated by applying pre congestion analysis before the congestion occurs depending on developing a mathematical model approach based on certain required indications.
