Anadarko hits oil with C d'lvoire double but gas project focus

Anadarko is looking at further exploration off Cote d'lvoire next year after hitting oil with a pair of wells but in the meantime is to concentrate on the development of its existing Paon discovery. The company drilled the successful Paon-5 appraisal well earlier this year in deepwater CI-103 and has now completed a drill stem test programme. Maximum stable flow rates were limited by equipment at 21 MMcf/d of gas and 9,000 b/d of condensate.
