Eni continues Egyptian Zohr acceleration

Eni and Egypt are continuing to work to fast-track the development of the giant Zohr field with Saipem throwing all it can at the project to try and gain the work. Appraisal drilling will start next month on the 30 Tcf discovery in the eastern Mediterranean with a final investment decision on a first phase around the same time. This is likely to involve around six wells which will initially use existing offshore and onshore infrastructure. Drilling will also search for oil in deeper Cretaceous targets.
