Rig mobilised for Tunisian platform decider

A rig is en route to Tunisia to spud an appraisal well on Cooper Energy's potential Hammamet West platform project. The Grup Servicii Pelroliere jackup Jupiter has completed its work programme in the Black Sea and is being mobilised to Tunisia with an expected spud date next month. It will drill the Hammamet West-3 well in the Bargou block. The field is around 12km from shore in a water depth of 165ft (50m). The mobilisation requires the partial removal and replacement of the jackup legs so that it can pass through the Bosphorus and into the Mediterranean.
