摘要

Even though the Bojana River is, after the Po River, the second largest tributary of the Adriatic Sea, its hydrological characteristics are little known. The erosion and sedimentation processes in the Bojana River channel have not been monitored in detail or corroborated by measurement. However, historical records of changes in the basins of the Skadar Lake and the Drim River can be used to shed some light on morphodynamics of the Bojana River. The emergence of an extremely attractive tourist island - Ada Bojana -- is of special interest, focusing on its current status and projection of its future viability.
