摘要

Glued intrascleral fixation of an intraocular lens (IOL) is an established technique described by Agarwal et al. in cases of posterior capsule dehiscence. Surgical expertise is required by an assistant to avoid haptic-related problems such as slippage, kinking, and breakage. The no-assistant technique eliminates the need of an assistant to hold the haptic because the haptic remains extruded from the sclerotomy site. The aims of the current study were to evaluate and compare the visual outcome obtained with both techniques, with particular attention to the haptic-related manipulations and the consequences.
