But it was a more than halving in Tesla's July registrations in Western Europe that finally drove home the message that in Europe Tesla's cars appear to have lost much of their earlier attraction as the year progressed In Norway, throwing a timely spotlight on Tesla's sudden European predicament, and where Tesla quickly emerged as the darling of the initially flourishing e-movement, July's Tesla registrations took a headlong 70 per cent dive to just 66 units. Telling the same sorry tale, in Norway Tesla's seven months registrations to July more than halved to just 1,314 units from 2,896 during the same period last year, according to OFV numbers.
