METINVEST TO FOLLOW THROUGH ITS PLANS FOR MODERNIZATION OF TWO HDG LINES AT ILYICH STEEL

After the second revamp stage on hot strip mill 1700, Metinvest plans to compete the comprehensive modernization at Ilyich Steel. The subsidiary is preparing for reconstruction of its cold-rolling and galva- nizing facilities, according to Yuriy Ryzhenkov, CEO of Metinvest Group. “We have quite a substantial programme for further development of the steel mill. Its cold-rolling, pickling and galvanizing facilities are next in line, which we also plan to make as good as the highest global standards,” Mr. Ryzhenkov said.
