Russia’s Severstal has completed a modernization at its Izhora Pipe Mill, costing around RUB 1 billion (USD 15.6 million). Within the upgrade the company has re-designed a beading machine, a forming and welding unit, an internal welding machine, a hydro press, as well refurbished internal and external coating units. As a result, the product range of large diameter pipes was extended with diameter 508 mm, while the range of off-shore coatings was expanded.
