THYSSENKRUPP MODERNIZES CONTINUOUS ANNEALING FURNACE AT RASSELSTEIN GMBH

Germany’s thyssenkrupp has modernized a continuous annealing furnace No.4 at Rasselstein GmbH plant in Andernach after over 30 years of operation, according to a statement from Andritz, the project contractor.Under the modernization the automation system, the drive technology, the mechanical equipment, inlet and outlet accu-mulators, as well as parts of the outlet section were renewed, and around 260 motors were replaced. The annealing line is designed to process low-carbon strips 0.8-4 mm thick and 900-1,650 mm wide.
