NLMK completed the repairs of the BF No.6, one of the re-equipping projects under its updated Strategy 2022. The project will allow the company to boost pig iron and steel output as well as to reduce its environmental footprint. NLMK commissioned the BF No.6, which had been in reconstruction since May. The unit’s capacity increased from 3.1 million t to 3.4 million t after the upgrade. Besides, new air treatment systems will allow for the capture of almost 100% of dust particles, Metal Expert learnt.
