NINGBO IRON AND STEEL ISSUES FAC FOR HOT STRIP MILL UPGRADE

China’s Ningbo Iron and Steel has granted SMS group the final acceptance certificate for modernization of a 4 million tpy hot strip mill at the plant in Zhejiang province, Metal Expert learnt from the contractor’s press release. Within the project the unit, designed to manufacture of 1.2-19 mm thick and 900-1,630 mm wide HRC, was equipped with a set of cooling banks, a cross spraying system and other solutions enabling to improve cooling performance and expand product mix.
