BAOSTEEL GROUP MULLS RELOCATING TWO BFS TO CAMBODIA

China’s Baosteel Group mulls a possibility to relocate two BFs conjugated with BOFs to an idling steel mill in Cambodia, according to the Reuters’ report, referring to a source close to the negotiations. If Baosteel Group succeeds with the plan, tentatively scheduled for late 2019, it will get its first overseas production site. Baosteel Group has reportedly chosen the plant, shut in 2017 and located near Phnom Penh, the Cambodian capital.
