Note from the editor-to-be: Continuing the dialogue on JAPA's mission

I'm honored to be taking over as Editor of the Journal of Aging and Physical Activity. As Jenny mentioned, I've been an Associate Editor for 6 years and, before that, a reviewer and contributor. I am passionate about physical activity participation and adherence and the application of our knowledge to practitioners, and I look forward to continuing the tradition of strong leadership in JAPA. Before I provide some initial thoughts to add to the important discussion Jenny has begun, I want to thank Jenny Etnier for her years of service to the journal. I think I can speak for the whole of the Associate Editor group in saying she has been a pleasure to work with. Jenny has been a thoughtful, collaborative, supportive, and organized editor, and I will do my very best to keep things running as smoothly.
