摘要

In view of inadequate availability of P and K in fish ponds under red and lateritic soil zones, a laboratory study was carried out to assess the effect of different doses of P and K on availability of these two nutrients in soil and water phases andalso on primary productivity levels of water. Both the nutrients tended to increase the gross primary productivity (GPP) values, although the effect of P appeared to be more prominent. Combined application of these two nutrients increased their efficiency and highest GPP values were obtained under combination of highest doses of these two nutrients used. However, the variations in assimilation efficiency under different treatment levels indicated a treatment combination with high dose of P and medium level of K.
