RESEARCH ON IMPROVING PERFORMANCE OF THE MOTORCYCLE ENGINE AT LOW AND MEDIUM SPEED

摘要

It is important to improve engine performance at low and medium speed according to Chinese motorcycle market. Firstly, it is found that inlet channel with a smaller caliber and a longer passage will make a better characteristic curve. Secondly, increasing compression ratio can improve performance by changing piston shape and reducing the height of cylinder. Thirdly, modifying air filter can improve performance also.
