摘要

The continuous induction welding process enables a contactless and gradual melting of the matrix of both adherends along the joining zone (Figure). By means of an induction coil eddy currents are induced into the laminate. The eddy currents involve an intrinsic heating within the laminate caused by the resistance losses between and along the electric conductive carbon fibers. The melting of the induction coil faced surface is prevented by a surface cooling device developed by IVW.
