Recognising that the tyre recycling industry had been around for many years,ECO Green Equipment looked to challenge some of the ways in which tyres were being recycled.It saw an opportunity to introduce new technologies and develop more efficient ways of recycling rubber tyres,as there had been very little development in the industry over the years.The company also recognised that there was an increasing demand for tyre-derived fuels(TDFs)and saw this as a further opportunity to develop better ways of producing this alternative fuel,while at the same time reducing the negative impact that waste tyres have on the environment through the use of landfills.The tyre recycling equipment developed and manufactured by the company has changed the way in which tyres are recycled.Its equipment has had an impact on the outputs for cement kilns around the world.Before the introduction of the company’s advanced recycling systems,recycling equipment was limited to shredding tyres down to 2-3 in.chips.And many of these rubber chips still retained significant levels of wire.However,with the implementation of state-of-the-art recycling equipment,it is possible to shred tyres down to rubber chips that are just 1-1.5 in.in size.Most importantly,these smaller rubber chips contain almost no wire,making the process of producing TDFs even more efficient.
