Las familias Glossograptidae, Dicranograptidae y Orthograptidae (Graptolithina) en el Ordovicico Superior de la Formacion Empozada, provincia de Mendoza, Argentina

This paper deals with the taxonomic revision of some graptolite groups from the Rusconi collection housed in the "Juan Cornelio Moyano" Natural and Anthropological Sciences Museum of Mendoza, Argentina. Glossograptid, dicranograptid, Ieptograptid and orthograptid specimens included in this paper were collected by Carlos Rusconi during the 1940's and 1950's from the Empozada Formation, located in the San Isidro area, Mendoza Precordillera. This material was compared with specimens from the same unit collected by the authors. The holotypes and paralypes of twelve nominal species described by Rusconi were examined and reassigned to Glossogrnptus dlintus Emmons, Cryptographs tricornis (Carruthers), Dicrnnograptus rnmosus cf. spinifer Elles and Wood, D. nicholsoiri mcholsoni Hopkinson. Moreover, Glossogrnptus fimbrinhis (Hopkinson), Leptogmptus cf. L vnlidus Elles and Wood and Orthogrnptus ex gr. cnl-cnrntus (Lapworth) are described.
