Orchideenflora der Seychellen - Eine Migrationsanalyse

The 'islands in the sun' are attracting an increasing number of sunshine hungry visitors from Europe, including a few nature enthusiasts. In this context, two travel reports on the Seychelles have been published in "Die Orchidee" in recent years. This paper, however, tries to fill a gap and focuses on issues related to biogeography. It can be shown that the Seychelles orchid flora is made up of only a small, but evolutionary old indigenous group, 3 migratory groups from Africa, Madagascar and Asia and a few naturalized species.
