More than 3000 Anesthesia Q/A to get the most out of your study time. Miller's Anesthesia Review was first published in 2001 to lessen the gap for question-and-answer-review books on basic anesthesia principles. Intended as a study companion to the famous Miller's Basics of Anesthesia [1], the book's 51 chapters correspond with those in the textbook's 7th edition, also published in 2018. As the editors emphasize in the preface, it is intended as a study guide for learners at any level - meeting this challenge by covering very basic aspects in the beginning of the book and every chapter as well as delving deep into different aspects of anesthesia as the course progresses. More than 85 international authors have contributed to this book's 601 pages. The chapters are organized in a logical order and progress from basic science and physiology to pathophysiology and general anesthesia topics covering many different subspecialties. Leafing through the book at first, I found it looked shockingly dull and discouraging. Overwhelmed by pages and pages of uninterrupted text one can easily lose motivation. Taking a closer look at it, however, it is a rather helpful contribution to your study-group material. It is a more thorough alternative to similar Q/A books such as Duke's Anesthesia Secrets [2] or the shorter Q/A sections in most textbooks.
