PENTAX achieved something of a coup in January this year when it announced the K20D.lt was the first enthusiast digital SLR to have more than 14 million pixels. At the time of the announcement only the Canon EOS-1 Ds Mark III had a greater pixel count, but to buy one would set you back nearly ￡6,000. Added to the Pentax K20D's large pixel count is | an impressive build quality, centred on a rigid stainless-steel chassis. A total of 74 seals prevent dust and water entering the body - the same number of seals quoted as protecting the EOS-ID Mark III.
