HP reader poll: Free time during work-from-home

In the May issue of Hydrocarbon Processing, the editors proposed a two-part question to gauge how our readers were adjusting to "work-from-home" initiatives put in place due to the COVID-19 virus. Many offices/business locations were closed due to quarantine orders initiated by state, local and federal governments around the world. This has included job sites and construction project sites. The two questions proposed were aimed at discovering how our subscribers were functioning professionally during this unprecedented shift in working conditions. In addition to exploring work-related issues, the editors are focusing on the "human" aspect of our subscribers' work/life balance. The first question was aimed at how working from home has affected our readers' work processes. After several hundred responses, more than 40% have had a positive experience while working from home. Feelings of negativity or neutrality were 22% and 36%, respectively
