The Vopak Terminal is the only fuel storage facility in Darwin,located at the top of the Northern Territory in Australia,where the daily temperature seldom falls below 30°C and the city is over 3000 km from the nearest large city.A.R.Watson International Ltd won the contract for the relocation of a biodiesel tank to a new position within the terminal.This required moving a tank that was surplus to requirement in one tank farm to another area so the company could change its service to a low aromatic fuel storage tank.The tank had been constructed in accordance with API 650,11th Edition in 2006.It was 24.2 m(80 ft)dia.x 18 m(60 ft)high,and the weight was calculated at 2081.The tank had a cone roof with a centre column.
