AJR Reviewers: We Need to Continue to Improve Our Education and Monitoring Methods!

In addition to the online tools, Dr. Provenzale has provided sessions during the reviewer luncheon at the ARRS annual meeting to assist reviewers in accomplishing their tasks more effectively. However, we continue to look for ways to improve reviewer education and remind them of the importance of their task. We are nearly finished with our mentoring pilot [3]. Thus far, our efforts in the pilot have definitely resulted in a better understanding of the structure and significance of excellent reviews. We have yet to decide if this process can be expanded to all new reviewers and reviewers who require more assistance.
