摘要

Mecacci and Haselager (2014) offer and explore an interesting new hypothesis that may explain the psychological and psychosocial side effects that have been reported to occur in patients treated with DBS. They hypothesize that these effects may be due to a shift in the self-understanding of patients, from a naive mind-body dualism, to a scientifically promoted neurocentric materialism.
