GETTING AN OPINION ON THE SUPPLY-AND- demand situation in the global oil market is easy. Getting an opinion that's based on frontline knowledge and credible data is much more difficult. When the leading providers of data (the EIA, IEA and OPEC) can't get it right, there should be no surprise that the rest of us can't either. One of the more credible voices I have been paying close attention to comes from Core Laboratories, a global energy services player.
