Today, pipeline integrity managers have a large selection of inline inspection (ILI) tools at their disposal to address the integrity needs of their pipeline networks. Whilst both operators and ILI providers place significant focus on the inspection of large transmission lines, one of the key challenges has been the ability to cost-effectively inspect and gather data on the difficult to inspect distribution and branch lines, which form an equally important and critical part of a pipeline operators network.
