Net Zero Collective targets data-led rethink of low-carbon homes work

New standards for implementing low-carbon technologies such as heating and cooling solutions in homes will be the focus of a new initiative to bring together housing bodies, academics and energy specialists. The Net Zero Collective, which is being led by property services group Liberty, has been established to consider the practical challenges of transforming homes in line with the government's 2050 net zero carbon emissions target. Under the scheme, the University of Southampton will partner with specialists working in fields such as AI and data sciences to produce a new evidence system that can help inform more effective investment when trying to decarbonise homes.
