The 10th annual Gas Safety Week took place from 14 September to 20 September as H&V News went to press, with organisations across the heating, plumbing and public sectors using the campaign to push better practice on ensuring safer homes. In a year where the HVAC sector has faced unprecedented economic and operational challenges, heating specialists have used the campaign to promote the importance of a range of good practice such as ensuring the annual servicing of boilers. The Gas Safe Register has issued fresh guidance detailing its top recommendations for guaranteeing Gas Safe homes with effective heating. These recommendations includes ensuring the regular servicing of gas appliances and fitting an audible carbon monoxide alarm in a property.
