Following a request for expressions of interest in buying multiple rigs,ADNOC Drilling is progressing its search.According to market sources,rig visits are taking place as well as discussions with shipyards in China and Singapore,and potential sellers.The units can be partially built or complete newbuilds or used rigs,built preferably from 2012 onwards.Units should be of the Gusto MSC CJ46,Marathon Le Tourneau 116-E,and Keppel FELS KFELS B Class designs only.Based on the request,the national drilling contractor is looking to buy nine rigs,and possibly one additional rig with maximum draft of 2.5 m(8 ft).
