Global market facing crisis following oil price plunge

Since the February edition of World Rig Forecast was published, the global rig market has been hit by a dose of bad news. A rapidly contracting world economy on the back of the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and an oil price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia will combine to pose even more challenges for a sector that has not fully recovered from the previous crash.
