Due to the current market conditions globally, national oil companies in the region are reviewing contracts and drilling campaigns. Most notably Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Saudi Aramco have commenced discussions for day rate reductions on rig contracts. According to market sources these discussions vary from 4-50%, but an average of 10-20% discounts are expected. Rig contract suspensions in the region are also being considered.
