New European LNG Import Projects March On

New European LNG projects are expected to go ahead despite a top energy official from the European Commission recently expressing doubts over long-term investments in gas infrastructure(WGI Feb.5'20).The deputy director of the commission's energy directorate Klaus-Dieter Borchardt told delegates at a recent industry event that there will be a shift in future gas investments taking place mostly in Asia as Europe has sufficient LNG infrastructure.However,Brussels is still funding some LNG terminal plans included in its Projects of Common Interest scheme.
