Prices Rise in Asia and Europe on Tenders, US Problems

Spot LNG prices in Northeast Asia inched up 50 to $6.15 per million Btu on signs of October buying interest, according to World Gas Intelligence assessments of cargoes for delivery four to eight weeks ahead. In Southwest Europe, spot LNG prices were assessed 40? higher at $5.70/MMBtu. The UK National Balancing Point day-ahead price was assessed 40 lower at $5.86/MMBtu, while October futures were 60 higher at $5.81/MMBtu. Netbacks for Mideast sellers in Asia were 950 higher than in Southwest Europe and almost 500 higher than in the UK/Belgium.
