Spot LNG prices in Northeast Asia rose 150 to $5.85 per million Btu on firmer demand, according to World Gas Intelligence assessments of cargoes for delivery four to eight weeks ahead. In Southwest Europe, spot LNG prices were assessed 10c higher at $5.25/MMBtu. The UK National Balancing Point (NBP) day-ahead price was assessed 440 higher at $5.20/MMBtu, while September futures rose 500 to $5.22/MMBtu. Netbacks for Mideast sellers in Asia were around 6O0MMBtu higher than in Southwest Europe, while UK/Belgian netbacks were roughly 700/MMBtu lower than in Asia.
