Report: Cat. 6A cables will eclipse Cat. 6

In a report detailing the global outlook for structured cabling products, BSRIA, a supplier of market reports, forecasts modest growth over the next several years, and projects that in 2024, global sales of Cat. 6A cabling will surpass sales of Cat. 6. A press release said that sales of Cat. 6A increased almost 7% globally in 2019, and now accounts for 33% of all cabling systems by value. Sales of Cat. 6A are estimated to progress dynamically up to 2024. Sales of Cat. 5E cables will continue to decline, but still account for 14% in 2019, sold mostly in the U.S., China and Japan. Cat. 6, which currently dominates the market, is expected to decline slightly in the future.
