摘要

In her first book, Eugenia Cheng describes a three-dimensional object called an associahedron, derived from category theory. For her description, a two-dimensional net is presented that can be folded into a three-dimensional object. However, she warns that the polygons need to be flexible in order to fit together. In this paper, we explore how to 3D-print the object by creating two different designs based on the net and then connect these designs to the underlying mathematical theory.
