A SPECIAL CASE OF THE MORLEY TRISECTOR THEOREM FOR AN ARBITRARY ISOSCELES TRIANGLE

The Morley Trisector Theorem states that for an arbitrary triangle, the Morley triangle is equilateral, where the Morley triangle is a triangle formed at the intersections of the angle trisectors of the given triangle. This paper presents a direct proof using axiomatic geometry that for an arbitrary isosceles triangle, the Morley triangle is equilateral. This proof also suggests a possible means to prove the Morley Trisector Theorem generally.
