WELSH GOVERNMENT TO LEAD BEHAVIOUR CHANGE WITH TOUGH RECYCLING TARGETS

The Welsh Government could set councils a target to recycle 80% of municipal waste by 2035, Hannah Blythyn AM, Welsh Minister for Environment, told delegates at the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (C1WM) Resource Conference Cymru. Centred on the theme of The Welsh Green Economy in her keynote address, the minister spoke about the Welsh Government's current plans to maintain progress towards a more sustainable future and the development of the Welsh green economy through the new Economic Action Plan.
