At the invitation of the Executive Board of the World Health Organisation (WHO), ISWA Board Member Derek Greedy was invited to present a statement to assist in the drafting of the thirteenth General Programme of Works Board. In his statement, he called on states to provide an enabling national and international environment that encourages investments from public and private sources to establish market-based incentives, which allows for better investment in waste management infrastructure. He asked that they make better waste management one of their highest priorities in the global fight for better human health.
