PROFESSOR SNAPE TRANSFIGURES WASTE INTO 'COAL'

The university is partnering with the Energy Research Accelerator (ERA) and CPL Industries to produce a commercial scale facility capable of converting biomass into next-generation solid fuels with coal-like properties. The ERA is funded by Innovate UK and is made up of six Midlands uni-versities and the British Geological Survey with the mission to support research and innovation in energy.
