The fight against food waste is cemented in the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in which target 12.3 calls to halve food waste and reduce food losses worldwide by 2030. Assessing progress against this ambitious goal is challenging to say the least, but coalition platform Champions 12.3 is making some headway in measuring the level of action being taken.
