An update on the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991

We have all heard of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 but how much do we actually understand about what it means for dog owners7 On 13 May 2014 the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime & Policing Act 2014 led to amendments to the Dangerous Dogs Act which could have far-reaching implications for all dog owners. This article highlights some of the most important changes; these do not relate to Breed Specific Legislation, which is beyond the scope of this article.
