How to select and place feeding tubes

Feeding tubes are an invaluable resource in both dogs and cats to provide enteral nutrition and fluid requirements in patients that require supplementation, either on a temporary or more permanent basis (see Figure 1), Most feeding tubes are minimal cost, easy to place and can be managed well by owners at home, permitting earlier discharge from the hospital.
