New requirements for terms of employment

Christmas Day 2018 saw the signing of a new piece of legislation by president of Ireland, Michael D Higgins, in the form of the Employment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2018. While seemingly innocuous in its title, this Act is very significant for all employers, including those in veterinary practice. The Act came into force on March 4,2019, and (among its aims) it changes the environment of employment with regards to the provision of written terms of employment (ie. written contracts).
