Esri president and cofounder Jack Dangermond and Autodesk CEO Andrew Anagnost both agreed to our interview request to provide insights on the Esri-Autodesk partnership, now entering its second year. They discussed the specific fruits of the collaboration to date, but they focused on the motivation and impetus for this historic handshake. If you've ever had to work with one foot in each of the worlds of CAD/CAE (computer aided drafting/design and computer aided engineering) and GIS, you know this partnership is a very, very big deal.
