Pickup sales stabilise in Q4 after sharp fall in first three quarters of 2018

Sales of pickup trucks stabilised in Q4 after plunging in the first three quarters of the year, with sales rising by 1.4% to 8,965 units from 8,837 units a year earlier. This segment, with its strong dependence on imports from Thailand, was one of the worst affected by new regulations introduced at the beginning of 2018. Full-year sales fell by over 24% to 18,941 units from 24,373 units in 2017.
