Pithampur - Commercial vehicle manufacturer, VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV) of Pithampur, - the commercial vehicle manufacturing joint venture and subsidiary of Sweden's Volvo AB and Eicher Motors Ltd of Pithampur - has introduced a new seven-speed manual gearbox (7F+1R), ET50S7 - an Eaton transmission made in India - which replaces Eicher's 6-speed predecessor, the Eicher 4M6SN; this is to be matched with the Eicher E494 four-cylinder 3-litre diesel engines made in Pithampur and fitted in all VECV mediumduty trucks.
