France/Belgium - Safra, the French Albi-based bus builder and refurbisher of rail, tram and metro carriages, presented its latest plug-in hybrid electric Businova at Busworld 2017 in Kortrijk. Development on the project began in 2010, starting from the ground up to create a purpose-designed mode of public transport encompassing durability, economical operation and with the ability to upgrade or adapt systems to improved technology. Businova is also available in full-electric specification with a larger battery pack or can be equipped with a pantograph for rapid opportunity charging.
